  jw's will not take a blood transfusion but will have organ transplants.

  don't they know that the organs are full of blood.

  there was a jw kid in sa that needed a liver and the parents did everything in their power to get money together for him to go to uk for a bloodless op.

  to me there is a definite difference in my generation and the one coming after me, when i graduated you basically had three choices.

  military, college or a fulltime job which meant more than 40 and you were expected to grow up, today kids are seen as postponing this for years, it reminds me of the proverbs 29:21 kjv says .

  21 he that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.. when is it time to push the little birds from the nest and tell them to flap real hard?.

  here's a question that i haven't seen addressed directly:.

  why are there many witnesses who enjoy the organization immensely?.

  no matter what you tell them, they would not dream of leaving.

  My parents stay cause they have nothing else. They got involved with the JW only a little while after coming to South Africa, so they only have JW friends. They don't have any family in SA, their whole life revolves arounf the WBTS. None of the kids have stayed in the "truth". If they leave they would have to start all over again. Making new friends and finding a new routine. It was hard enough for me to do it but I was young enough to make new friends and get on with life.

  There was a JW kid in SA that needed a liver and the parents did everything in their power to get money together for him to go to UK for a bloodless op. They organised all sorts of charity events and lots of JWs gave money for this boy to go get the op done in UK. The op could have been done here with blood but none of the South African doctors would do the op without blood. The dad was even interviewed on TV because of this.

  What a waste of money!! Go to UK have a "bloodless" op done and receive an organ that is full of someone elses blood anyway.

  i am reading the bible for the first time.

  i was df'd in 1976 and lived my whole life thinking the jws have the truth and i just could not live up to the standard and was doomed to die at the big a without question.

  until i found jwd 31 years later.

  Read Heb1:8 the whole of Hebrews chapter one is reaaly good. Col 2:9 remember to read the scriptures in context and not in isolation like the JWs do. Enjoy your search

  Ghosts and using God's name

  okay im just gonna ask my question because i'm curious.

  i'm still not even sure if there are actual witnesses here or just people aruging with them (some people have too much free time) .

  see lately i've been watching this show "a haunting" and a lot of the episodes are the same.

  Most of the people on this site were JW and are now either DF or Da or inactive. Some still attend meetings.

  See lately I've been watching this show "A Haunting" and a lot of the episodes are the same.

  So here's my question
  I used to study with some witnesses who mentioned once that using God's name in a haunting situation can be powerful enough to get rid of the ghost/demon/whatever. Is this actually true? I mean, I guess what Im wondering is if there's any way to get rid of them for good because all the blessings and what not seem to do is anger ghosts. What SHOULD you do in a haunting situation? I know you guys aren't exorcists but Im just curious. So lemme know and no flames or anything like that pleaes

  Is It Impossible To Reach A Devout JW ???

  i wonder.

  a very typcal witness may see the obvious negatives that jws know they have.

  they might acknowledge that there's often a lack of love, that the elders can be demanding, that "new light" can change long cherished beliefs in an instant.......but still they cling on and resist any sort of intellectual discussion as to why the witnesses are off soooooo many times.....what gives??

  I think the only thing we can do is try to plant a seed of doubt and hopefully it will make them think for themselves.

  Are JW's more human or robotic?

  since everything they do is conditional to the watchtower, i'd say that they are more robotic than human.. take for example, "wanting to die rather than accept blood".

  a human reaction would be to want to live, and ask for forgiveness if accepting blood is wrong.. another example is when they go door to door.

  is it normal to offer a magazine to a person that needs clothes or something to eat rather than a magazine that says how nice it will be in the new system.

  Parents reject their children because of a organization. That's not human. Someone should remove the probe they have been implanted with!
